This hot chocolate started with a scroll... One of our team spotted Calgary’s Hot Chocolate Festival on Instagram and brought the idea back to the team. What if we joined in? From there, the conversation started rolling. We played with a few ideas, citrus, nostalgia, colour, but then someone asked, “What about chai?” And it just clicked! Chai is comfort. It’s warmth, connection, and something meant to be shared. As our team talked more, personal stories began to shape the drink. In Bangladesh, chai is often enjoyed as dudh cha, rich with milk, gently spiced, sweet and grounding, sometimes paired with puffed rice or toast biscuits for texture and balance. When that memory was shared, the room lit up…..could we bring that feeling into a hot chocolate? The result is our Muri Chai Hot Cocoa: rich dark chocolate blended with warming chai spices, finished with a spiced Muri garnish inspired by how chai is enjoyed across South Asia. This drink is a collaboration. A meeting point of Canadian and South Asian comfort, created by our whole team and made to be enjoyed slowly, with community.
