Affogato Italian Hot Chocolate
With a recent family trip to Italy we wanted to create something different than just a traditional hot chocolate! Our creation is an Affogato Italian Hot Chocolate. Italian hot chocolate is thicker, dark and more rich than traditional hot chocolate. Since we are an ice cream shop we of course had to add ice cream! Affogato means “drowned”, so we are drowning a creamy handcrafted marshmallow ice cream in a thick rich dark Italian Hot Chocolate, then topping it off with chocolate curls and a freshly toasted marshmallow on a stick. Total decadence in every cup! For those that want it boozy, they have an option to do a pour over with Baileys or Frangelico.
