The Fenyk "First Date" Cheesecake White Hot Chocolate
Being the "new kid on the block", we wanted to step into YYC Hot Chocolate Fest with a bang, but also found it a tall order to stand out amongst so many seasoned veterans with amazing entries. With this being our very first time participating (we've only been open for just over 8 months), we kind of felt like this was our first date with Calgary's hot chocolate lovers. Having grown up in the very community that Fenyk Coffee & Social operates in, we wanted to come up with an entry that resonated with our roots, and reflected our love for the community. If you're also familiar with the Brentwood area, you'd undoubtably remember the Cheesecake Café at Northland Mall. While the Cheesecake Café is sadly no longer here, it will forever hold a place in our hearts as a staple for first dates and desserts. We thought it would be fitting to bring back some of that nostalgia with our "First Date" Cheesecake White Hot Chocolate, in honour of a lost community staple. White Chocolate and Strawberry with a Milk Base (or Milk Substitute), topped with our house made Cream Cheese Whipped Cream, Biscoff Crumble, Strawberry syrup, and freshly cut strawberries.
